    Their problems go somewhat beyond root-vegetable nomenclature but it’s almost sweet that they can’t see it!

    CCHQ did miscalculate a little over their preferred candidates but it must re recognised that they have a problem to face if they achive a GE win.

    They will need enough talent coming into parliament, people with experience in administration, industry and management so that they can be inserted into junior ministerial positions.

    The constituency party won’t like having its authority questioned in this way, but they have been out of power a very long time and should be mindful of what might be needed in the future.
