Arleen Phillips so obviously beats Alesha in terms of meritocracy for what they are meant to be judging. And as a female it is quite nice to see the older ones coming back which is not the case for many other TV shows where the older females but not males have been replaced with bright pretty young (usually talentless) young things (e.g. Countryfile). And where are all the more mature ladies reading the news! Surely age representation should count under equality laws too!
