Quote of the day
“I shall probably go to Britain anyway on Thursday. Let us see if they put me in chains on arrival. It is an unbelievable decision made by a group of cowards.”
- Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician who made the controversial ‘Fitna’ film about Islam, on being refused entry to the UK. Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen has called David Miliband to protest against the decision, saying ”it is disgraceful that a Dutch parliamentarian should be refused entrance to an EU country.” A Home Office spokesman told newspapers: “The Government opposes extremism in all its forms. It will stop those who want to spread extremism, hatred and violent messages in our communities from coming to our country.”

Presumably, the basis for the decision is that Islamic extremists might be incited to violence by a film that suggests that they are prone to violence? It’s almost worth letting him in just to see the irony in action.
How is it extremeism to tell the truth? In England if a ferry sank everyone would be sad at the loss of life but in Egypt it translates as ‘riot time’! Of course they’re prone to violence it has been demonstrated time and time again in most muslim countries and the ones they have been allowed into. To stop hatred and extremism in this country perhaps all immigrants – especially muslims should do a ‘peace test’ before they’re allowed in.
Muslims should be stopped – not Dutch politicians.
And the award for the biggest generalisation of the day goes to….
I don’t recall ever hearing any off them standing out to say how terrible the 7/7 bombings were. Silence equates to support.
Didn’t you realise, Candid? Muslims didn’t do 7/7 – it was an MI5/MI6/CIA/Mossad operation to besmirch the good name of Islam, that well known religion of peace. Just like Mossad and the CIA carried ou the 9/11 attacks…
This country is doomed if every time a crazy religion threatens violence should it not get its own way we just capitulate. It will encourage more threats of violence, not less.
“It’s almost worth letting him in just to see the irony in action.”
Seconded! I’ll get my posters of ‘Islamic Rage Boy’ printed up ready…
