I’m back, and I have a big smile on my face

Dear readers,

I have returned from my fairly dry holiday in Scotland – thanks for all your nice comments left during my break.  There are several reasons why I currently have a big grin on my face, which I will now deal with in turn:

1. My holiday was great.

2. My blog celebrated its first anniversary while I was on holiday – happy birthday blog!

3. I have been voted the 21st best Conservative blog and the 36th best blog from all parties in the Total Politics Top 100 Political Blogs.  Thank you so much to all the people who voted for me.  I am delighted that one year after this blog started, people are enjoying what I’m doing.

4. Despite all those reasons to be cheerful, the real reason why I’m grinning so much is because of the poster below, which I found in St Andrews on my recent travels.  You just have to laugh.

Normal blogging resumes tomorrow – see you then!

Glad you all enjoyed the poster, and thanks for all the encouragement.

Acton, I was on holiday in St Andrews so had no intention of doing any summer planning, although the accommodation I was staying in was swamped with people attending that summer school!

  13. Many congratulations on your placing in Iain Dale’s annual awards.
