The real reason why the UK is short of food

I’m sorry but has Gordon Brown forgotten something? Here he is on the front page of every bloody newspaper this morning telling us to stop eating too much – has he forgotten about THIS STORY? Has he forgotten that MPs can get the taxpayer to pay for their food? It would nice if the government would lead by example for a change.

It’s absolutely pathetic. I thought that most people grew out of the “think of the starving millions!” kind of thinking when they are about eight years old. How will reducing the demand for food in the UK increase the amounts available in Pakistan?
To think that the Prime Minister thinks that this is an appropriate tone and message in this day and age is indeed pathetic.
I suggest that he looks no further than the EU and the CAP if he really wants to deal with the global food shortage.
Who is advising him? It beggars belief.
