Now that Labour have debts totalling £16 million, the unions are in a powerful position.  After the withdrawal of most wealthy Labour donors, the unions now make up around 80-90% of all donations.  You’ll have to watch the news carefully over the next few weeks and months to see how the unions decide to squeeze the government, although the first signs of trade union posturing are already emerging.

    They needn’t worry at this rate Boris will have won the election for them by christmas.
