On the radio this morning Gordon Brown’s official biographer (whose name I forget) said that “his main problem is a catastrophic collapse in confidence”.
And he was on the show to defend Brown against Matthew Parris!
That’s quite a serious problem. Maybe he should go and see a doctor about that.
Is this his “vision”: an oncoming HGV bearing down on him and no hope of getting out of its way?
Quite possibly, although you may need to throw in a speech about ‘raising the aspirations’ of HGV drivers in addition to saying that HGV drivers’ jobs are safe ‘for the next few months’.
