They are overpaid. You are wrong if you think there is any support for them and if they continue to moan they will find the remnant of good will they have goes the same way the Firemen`s .

Fireman get paid a hell of a lot more than the police. More importantly the firemen were demanding a 40% pay hike, whereas the police are asking for a rise in line with inflation – which is why I still respect the police, as they have gone about this in the right way.
Police need a new uniform – those hats just do not command respect in the new millenium.
So my recommendation for policing – new hats..definitely and the use of the death penalty – thus decreasing reoffender rates – increasing punishment – decreasing offenders in general and thus decreasing the need for so many police.
With these new policies in place the police will be paid (less of them, equal budget) well and have nice hats!
Errr, right. I didn’t look at police hats as a major source of controversy amongst politicians and voters – could I have made a serious error of judgement?
